Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 11, 2026

Faceinfo (hereinafter "Service") values user privacy and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws. This policy explains what personal information the Service collects, why, how long it is retained, and what rights users have.

1. Personal Information We Collect

The Service collects the following information in order to provide face analysis.

  • Facial photo (uploaded by the user; processed temporarily for analysis)
  • Facial measurement data (ratios and feature vectors derived from landmark coordinates)
  • Device information and IP address at the time of the analysis request (server logs)
  • For paid services: order number, payment method information, and payment approval data (provided by the payment gateway)

Free analysis is available without registration. Identifying information such as name or contact details is collected only where necessary, for example for paid services or inquiry handling.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use

  • Providing Five Elements AI face analysis and its results
  • Preventing duplicate analysis of the same photo (result cache)
  • Payment, generation, delivery, and refund handling for paid reports
  • Service quality improvement, error handling, and abuse prevention

3. Handling of Facial Photos and Facial Measurement Data

Original photos are never stored

Uploaded original photos are used solely for analysis processing and are deleted as soon as analysis completes. The Service retains only facial measurement data (numeric values) and analysis results.

  1. Photos are kept in temporary storage only while being processed, and are deleted automatically once analysis completes or the retention window expires.
  2. Facial measurement data may be regarded as biometric information used to identify an individual, so it is processed only after obtaining separate consent.
  3. Facial measurement data is never used for purposes other than providing analysis results, nor to match or search against other individuals' data.
  4. Users may refuse this separate consent, in which case use of the face analysis service is restricted.
